So I did a show on LTCM web, the Mimble Wimble privacy layer for the

Litecoin.

into M web, uh, your Litecoin goes into this huge wallets that has a shit load

And I didn't know what the fuck this wallet was.

And I was like, right, this seems suspicious because it seems like whoever owns

that wallet could steal that, those fuck.

Um, so he sent me an article that it was the first article I've ever seen that

acknowledged the existence of this wallet, which, you know, at the step in the

right direction.

Um, and what they were claiming was there's no private key to the wallets

because it's an, anyone can spend wallets.

Now, when you think of the phrase, anyone can spend, doesn't that mean I can spend

from it or you can sound like that?

Uh, so I did some deep diving into how that shit works and like it's very technical.

Uh, so he was, uh, before that, he was actually convinced that it wasn't a wallet at all.

It was just some fake trickery that the, that the network was doing to make the

math add up.

And I'm like, no, I'm pretty sure it's a wallet because I can just send funds to

it, right?

And he's like, we'll go ahead and try it.

So I tried it and my wallet was like, uh, you're not allowed to do that.

And I'm like, huh, that's interesting.

So I looked at the source code of the wallet and basically it has a check.

Uh, so the way these, these addresses work is there's a version bit at the front.

Okay.

And that's just a number.

So a normal wallet is a version zero.

And then they have a version one wallet, which allows you to do like scripting

shit, um, which we're not going to get into that, but, uh, these M web wallets are

using version eight.

Okay.

And there's a check in the code that says if version eight, say I can't spend

this money, but no, I can just take that out, right?

I just come with that line out and then recompile the wallet and then I could

spend it.

So let me spend it.

So if you go on the blockchain and I can give you guys the link of the

transaction, uh, you can see me sending like going into one of these M web

wallets and it's there.

So, so it is a wallet, right?

Um, and then my next challenge was, okay, can I get it back out?

Because it's anyone can spend wallet.

So that's, that's their trick.

They want to see if it's real since the Monero there and they're just

looked, I didn't look at all of them, but, um, so I, I tried to, uh,

I modified the wallet again to allow me to construct a transaction that had

this wallet as their originator rather than my other wallet.

And, um, so I was able to do that and I submitted the transaction and then the

node that I was connected to says, Hey, you can't do that.

Like, cause it's version eight.

I don't take version eight transactions.

So I'm like, okay, I have to download a node and I'll make my own node and I'll

recompile the node and then I went in the code of the node and there's,

there's a line if version eight was eight, say you can't do this.

So I commented it out, right?

Now you can take version eight.

So my, now I compiled the node, I downloaded the whole fucking blockchain.

Took me like two fucking days to sync everything.

Um, so I go to my wallet, I make the forest transaction.

I send it to my node and the node takes it just fine, right?

No problem.

But then the node refuser, the other nodes that it was connected to wouldn't

accept it because they have the same problem, like the same issue.

I don't take version eight shit.

So it stopped at my node, essentially.

Um, but now, so, so it's, so M web is safe from people like me that are just fucking around.

But if you had a miner that had a good chance of mining the block, I'm pretty

sure you could steal all these funds.

life going in these wallets.
